This stunning new production of the classic Hans Christian Andersen story presents a winter wonderland with a twist in the tale.

The Snow Queen captures Kay, a young orphan, and takes him away to her ice palace.  But she hasn't bargained for his fearless sister, Gerda, who sets out to rescue him, encountering the Tsar of Russia, Princess Popishka, the funny robbers and a host of colourful animal characters including the cuddly Mossy the Reindeer.

But just who is the Snow Queen and why is her heart so cold?  Is she really planning to rule the world in a new ice age?
